Our meetings for 2019 will normally continue to be held on the Second Wednesday of the month, bimonthly on the odd months, i.e. January, March, May, July, September and November. We have held our meetings in the first floor function room at the Old Sergeant pub in Garratt Lane in the past, but difficulties with noise and the new requirement for a charge for use means that we now hold our meetings in the church hall at St Thomas à Becket Church, Santos Road/West Hill, SW18. The access to the church hall is via the glazed atrium between the church and the clergy house in Santos Road.
We believe that the bimonthly arrangement allows sufficient time between meetings to carry out agreed actions. We will also hope to repeat our enjoyable informal Christmas get-together this year when the time comes! However please note that we sometimes have to change both the date and the venue, so it’s always best to check this website regarding the next group meeting prior to attending.
OUR JANUARY MEETING WILL HOWEVER BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY JANUARY 16. If you wish to join us and haven’t received the email with full details, please request this by emailing the coordinator through the contact form.
The Group Meeting an opportunity for members of the group to catch up with one another, get an update on what Friends of the Earth is doing nationally and to plan what the group will do over the coming months. We aim also to agree actions that we intend to carry out before the following meeting.
You don’t have to be a member to come along, but it’s best if you let us know you want to come and we’ll be sure that there is someone to greet you. We’re a friendly group and new faces can be assured of a welcome and an open opportunity to join in the discussion.
