IMG_4329Welcome to the website of Wandsworth Friends of the Earth. We are the local group of the worldwide and national Friends of the Earth community. Our aim is to tackle local issues that relate to our environment. We subscribe to the aspiration “Think globally, act locally”.

This website offers an introduction to our activities and meetings, past, present & future. If you’re interested in joining in, please do come to one of our monthly meetings. We are an informal group, but committed to an improved environment for the borough and improving local awareness of the environmental issues.

  1. @savechestnutavenue is campaigning to stop Wandsworth Council from cutting down 77 horse chestnut trees on Tooting Common. Come and join us at the Town Hall to protest at tomorrow night’s Council meeting (Wednesday Oct 12th) or at the avenue for a flash mob on Sunday morning. The avenue runs from Tooting Bec Road to Bedford Hill with a cycle/walking path running through it. You can phone me on 07799 538 544(I am not available Wed from 2pm)or Laurie Goering on 07516 961 230. Fio Adamson
